Easy one-pan chicken simmered in a creamy lemon garlic Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 thinly cut chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon butter and the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the chicken for 3 to 4 minutes per side until lightly browned. Remove it before it is fully cooked.
  3. Add the remaining 4 tablespoons butter and the minced garlic to the skillet, then cook for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the flour, salt, black pepper, and a little extra seasoning, then slowly whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.
  5. Simmer the sauce over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often, until it thickens enough to coat a spoon.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and lemon juice until fully combined.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, top each piece with a lemon slice, cover, and simmer on low for about 10 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F and is cooked through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
