Lazy Pani Puri Filling by Whatinthechef
Quick Bangladeshi-style pani puri filling with chickpeas, potato, onion, herbs, and spices.

Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 medium potato, boiled and peeled
- 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 12-16 ready-made pani puri shells
- 1 cup ready-made tamarind water
Instructions
- Boil the drained chickpeas for 5-10 minutes until warmed through, then drain well.
- Dice the onion and chop the coriander finely.
- Add the boiled potato to a bowl and mash it lightly with a fork.
- Mix in the chickpeas, onion, coriander, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, black pepper powder, and chaat masala until evenly combined.
- Spoon the filling into the ready-made pani puri shells, filling each one about halfway.
- Pour in the ready-made tamarind water just before serving so the shells stay crisp.
