Ingredients

  • 300g (10.5 oz) high-quality lean beef, freshly ground for raw consumption
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp shallot, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp capers, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

  1. Ensure the beef is extremely fresh and specifically requested from the butcher for raw consumption until ready to serve.
  2. Place the ground beef in a chilled mixing bowl until ready to serve.
  3. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced shallot, chopped capers, and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl until ready to serve.
  4. Mix thoroughly using a fork or spatula until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the texture is creamy.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mixing again to combine until ready to serve.
  6. Serve immediately on fresh crusty bread or crackers, keeping the mixture chilled until the moment of serving.
