Crispy fried chicken cutlets glazed in a sweet and smoky chipotle sauce on toasted slider buns.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 slider buns
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Whisk together buttermilk, egg, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl
  2. Add chicken cutlets to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Dredge each marinated chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess, until evenly coated.
  4. Fry chicken in 1 inch of oil at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Combine honey, chipotle peppers, and minced garlic in a small saucepan over medium heat; simmer for 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Brush the honey chipotle glaze over the cooked chicken.
  7. Assemble sliders on toasted buns and serve warm.
