Serves: 4Prep: 20 minCook: 15 min

Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) ground chicken
  • 3 stalks green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 count dumpling wrappers
  • 120ml (1/2 cup) water
  • 2 tbsp crunchy chili oil (for serving)
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground chicken, chopped green onions, soy sauce, ginger, and minced garlic in a bowl, mixing until well incorporated.
  2. Place 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture into the center of each dumpling wrapper, moisten the edges with water, and fold to seal securely
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of neutral oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Arrange the dumplings in the pan in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup of water into the skillet and immediately cover with a tight-fitting lid to steam for 6-8 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to evaporate any remaining liquid and crisp the bottoms once more.
  7. Serve immediately, drizzled with crunchy chili oil.
