Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) ground chicken
- 3 stalks green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 count dumpling wrappers
- 120ml (1/2 cup) water
- 2 tbsp crunchy chili oil (for serving)
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Combine ground chicken, chopped green onions, soy sauce, ginger, and minced garlic in a bowl, mixing until well incorporated.
- Place 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture into the center of each dumpling wrapper, moisten the edges with water, and fold to seal securely
- Heat 1 tablespoon of neutral oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Arrange the dumplings in the pan in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water into the skillet and immediately cover with a tight-fitting lid to steam for 6-8 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the lid and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to evaporate any remaining liquid and crisp the bottoms once more.
- Serve immediately, drizzled with crunchy chili oil.
