Moist Chocolate Cake by That Hungrybelly
Decadent, moist chocolate cake with a rich crumb and deep cocoa flavor throughout.

Ingredients
- 250g (2 cup) all-purpose flour
- 400g (2 cup) granulated sugar
- 75g (3/4 cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1.5 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 240ml (1 cup) whole milk
- 120ml (1/2 cup) vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 240ml (1 cup) boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Stir in boiling water by hand until combined; the batter will be very thin.
- Pour batter evenly into prepared pans until ready to serve.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
