Vibrant, cozy pasta tossed in a blistered cherry tomato sauce with aromatic garlic and basil.

Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) pasta of choice
- 500g (1.1 lb) cherry tomatoes
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp kosher salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the cherry tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to burst and release their juices.
- Stir in the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Transfer the cooked pasta directly into the skillet with the tomatoes, adding 1/4 cup of pasta water to help emulsify the sauce until ready to serve.
- Toss everything together over low heat for 1 minute until the sauce coats the pasta evenly.
- Remove from heat, stir in the fresh basil, and season with salt to taste before serving until ready to serve.
