Crispy marinated chicken tossed in a bold, vibrant red chili spice blend with aromatic notes.

Ingredients

  • 500g (1.1 lb) chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp red food coloring (optional)
  • 2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Combine the chicken, egg, cornflour, Kashmiri red chili powder, salt, and food coloring in a large bowl, mixing thoroughly until the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
  3. Fry the chicken pieces in small batches for 5–7 minutes, or until the coating is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate for 2 minutes before serving.
