Ingredients
- 500g (1.1 lb) chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 1 tbsp kashmiri red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp red food coloring (optional)
- 2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Combine the chicken, egg, cornflour, Kashmiri red chili powder, salt, and food coloring in a large bowl, mixing thoroughly until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- Fry the chicken pieces in small batches for 5–7 minutes, or until the coating is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the chicken with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate for 2 minutes before serving.
