Bajirao Mastani Custard Apple Drink by Tastebyishika

Chilled, creamy custard apple dessert drink infused with aromatic saffron and sweetened milk.

Ingredients

  • 500g custard apple (sitaphal), seeds removed and pulp extracted
  • 500ml full-fat milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup saffron strands

Instructions

  1. Extract the pulp from the custard apple, removing all seeds, and place the pulp in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine the milk, sugar, and saffron in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
  3. Simmer the milk mixture, stirring frequently, until it reduces and thickens slightly, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove the milk from heat and allow it to cool completely to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold.
  5. Combine the chilled custard apple pulp and the chilled saffron milk, blending or stirring until well incorporated, then serve immediately.
