Spaghetti with Burrata by Tanerxaydin

Simple spaghetti tossed with tomatoes, garlic, and basil, then topped with creamy buffalo burrata.

Ingredients

  • 200g (7 oz) spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400g (14 oz) cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 ball buffalo burrata
  • 1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add halved cherry tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes begin to soften and break down.
  5. Drain the cooked spaghetti, reserving about 1/4 cup of pasta water
  6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the tomatoes. Toss to combine
  7. Stir in the chopped fresh basil.
  8. If the sauce seems too dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen it.
  9. Serve the spaghetti immediately, topping each portion with a ball of buffalo burrata.
