Baked Halloumi with Pears and Hot Honey by Tanerxaydin

Baked Halloumi with Pears and Hot Honey made with halloumi cheese, firm-ripe pears and pitted kalamata olives.

Ingredients

  • 250g (8.8 oz) halloumi cheese, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
  • 2 medium firm-ripe pears, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp hot honey, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Arrange the sliced halloumi and pears on the prepared baking sheet. Scatter the pitted Kalamata olives evenly around them.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the halloumi, pears, and olives, then season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the halloumi is golden brown and slightly softened, and the pears are tender.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately drizzle generously with hot honey. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, if using, and serve warm.
