Baked Halloumi with Pears and Hot Honey by Tanerxaydin

Baked Halloumi with Pears and Hot Honey made with halloumi cheese, firm-ripe pears and pitted kalamata olives.

Ingredients
- 250g (8.8 oz) halloumi cheese, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
- 2 medium firm-ripe pears, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup pitted kalamata olives
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp hot honey, plus more for drizzling
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Arrange the sliced halloumi and pears on the prepared baking sheet. Scatter the pitted Kalamata olives evenly around them.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the halloumi, pears, and olives, then season with salt and black pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the halloumi is golden brown and slightly softened, and the pears are tender.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately drizzle generously with hot honey. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, if using, and serve warm.
