Serves: 6Prep: 20 minCook: 20 min

Ingredients

  • 200g chicken breast, finely diced
  • 6 spring roll sheets
  • 0.5 onion, finely sliced
  • 0.5 bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely diced
  • 1 fresh chili, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chinese 5 spice
  • 1 tsp msg
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour mixed with 1 tbsp water (for sealing)
  • 1 tsp low-calorie cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Sauté the finely sliced onion and diced chicken in a pan with a little oil over medium-high heat until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  2. Stir in the garlic, bell pepper, and fresh chili, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the dark soy sauce, Chinese 5 spice, MSG, and chili flakes, stirring well to coat everything evenly, then remove from heat and let the mixture cool completely.
  4. Place a small portion of the filling onto the center of each spring roll sheet.
  5. Fold the sides of the wrapper inward and roll tightly, using the flour-water mixture to seal the edges.
  6. Arrange the rolls in an air fryer basket, spray lightly with low-calorie cooking spray, and cook at 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
