Ingredients
- 115g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 480ml (2 cup) heavy cream
- 150g (1.5 cup) parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat until foaming.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
- Reduce heat to low and gradually whisk in the grated parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat immediately to prevent the sauce from breaking.
