Fruit Custard by Spoonsofdilli
Creamy, chilled fruit custard thickened naturally with reduced milk and sweetened with sugar.

Ingredients
- 1 l whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 cup mixed fresh fruit, diced (apple, banana, pomegranate, grapes)
Instructions
- Pour the milk into a heavy-bottomed pan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, for 20-25 minutes until the milk has reduced by about one-third and thickened.
- Stir in the sugar and cardamom powder, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
- Fold in the fresh diced fruit just before serving to maintain texture over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
