Pan-seared cod fillets served with a rich, savory sauce of melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon.

Ingredients
- 2 cod fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add cod fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove fish from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice, then pour the sauce over the cooked cod and garnish with fresh parsley.
