Ingredients
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 1.5 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Stir in the boiling water by hand until fully incorporated; the batter will be thin.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack before frosting or serving
