Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cup water or milk
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 bananas, sliced lengthwise
- 1 tbsp sugar (for brûléeing bananas)
- 1/2 cup fresh wild blueberries
- 1/4 cup almonds, toasted and chopped
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp white miso paste
Instructions
- Cook the oats in water or milk over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and oats are tender.
- Stir the softened cream cheese into the hot oatmeal until fully incorporated and creamy.
- Whisk the miso paste into the peanut butter until smooth and set aside.
- Place banana slices cut-side up on a heat-proof surface, sprinkle with sugar, and caramelize using a kitchen torch until golden brown and bubbling.
- Divide the oatmeal into bowls, top with the brûléed bananas, blueberries, toasted almonds, and a drizzle of the miso peanut butter until ready to serve.
