Steak with Baked Potatoes and Honey Roasted Carrots by Shelbyaustinn
Pan-seared top sirloin steak served alongside tender baked potatoes and sweet honey-glazed roasted carrots.

Ingredients
- 1 lb top sirloin steak
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 450g (1 lb) carrots, peeled and halved
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prick potatoes with a fork, rub with oil and salt, and bake on a rack for 45-50 minutes until tender.
- Toss carrots with honey, a drizzle of oil, and salt on a baking sheet; roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides
- Heat a heavy skillet over high heat; sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
- Add butter to the pan in the last minute of cooking, basting the steak with the melted butter
- Rest the steak for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain to serve.
