Chocolate Salami by Sepps

Rich dark chocolate rolled with crunchy pistachios, chewy dried figs, and crisp biscuits into a festive log.

Ingredients

  • 250g (9 oz) high-quality dark chocolate, chopped
  • 50g (3.5 tbsp) unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 100g (3.5 oz) pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 100g (3.5 oz) dried figs, chopped
  • 100g (3.5 oz) biscuits (e.g., digestive or tea biscuits), crushed

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate, butter, coconut oil, and agave syrup together in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water until silky smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Remove the bowl from the heat and let it cool slightly for 5 minutes.
  3. Fold in the chopped pistachios, dried figs, and crushed biscuits until everything is evenly coated in chocolate.
  4. Place the mixture onto a sheet of cling film and shape it into a log or sausage form, twisting the ends of the film to tighten it.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is firm enough to slice.
