Ingredients
- 8 cup bread flour (divided)
- 4 tbsp instant yeast
- 4 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cup warm water (105°f)
Instructions
- Combine 4 cups of flour, yeast, salt, sugar, and olive oil in a large stand mixer bowl.
- Add 4 cups of warm water (105°F) and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining 4 cups of flour while mixing with a dough hook.
- Knead the dough on medium speed, adding extra flour 2 tablespoons at a time if the dough is too loose, until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- Shape the dough into a ball, coat lightly with olive oil, and place in a bowl.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rise at room temperature for 1 hour.
- Divide and shape as desired for pizza, knots, or stromboli, then bake at 400°F–425°F for 10–15 minutes until golden.
