  • 3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the heavy cream in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until it is steaming and hot, but not boiling.
  2. Place the chocolate chips in a heat-proof bowl and pour the hot cream directly over them.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes to allow the chocolate to begin melting.
  4. Place the bowl over low heat for 30 seconds if the chocolate is not fully melting, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  5. Remove from heat and stir vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  7. Use immediately as a glaze or transfer to a piping bag to drizzle once it cools and thickens slightly.
