Ingredients
- 3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 10 tbsp (1 stick plus 2 tbsp) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 16 oz chocolate candy coating or melting wafers
- 1 tsp flaky sea salt (for garnish)
Instructions
- Sift 3 cups of powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl.
- Add 1 1/3 cups of peanut butter, 1 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt, and the melted butter to the bowl.
- Mix on low speed using a paddle attachment until the mixture reaches a pliable, dough-like consistency that holds together when pressed.
- Use a small scoop to portion the mixture into 30 balls, leaving them with a flat edge, and place them on parchment paper.
- Let the peanut butter balls sit at room temperature for 1 hour to dry slightly.
- Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl using 15-30 second pulses, stirring thoroughly between each interval until smooth.
- Dip the base of each ball into the chocolate and place back on parchment paper; let sit for 10-15 minutes until the bottoms harden.
- Dip the entire ball into the remaining chocolate, tapping off excess, and place on a tray to set.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt while the chocolate is still wet and allow to harden completely before serving.
