Soft, fluffy, and perfectly quick hamburger buns that are ready in just a few hours.

Ingredients
- 3.5 cup flour
- 1.5 tbsp instant yeast
- 0.25 cup sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup warm water (100°f)
- 1 egg
- 0.33 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a stand mixer bowl and mix well
- Add warm water, egg, and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough using a stand mixer until it pulls away from the bowl and passes the windowpane test (stretches thin without breaking).
- Place dough in a greased container, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 30-60 minutes until doubled in size.
- Divide dough into 4 oz portions, shape into rounds, and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Cover with a cloth and let rest for 20 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with flaky sea salt immediately after removing from the oven.
