Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for the pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Grease a 10-12 inch cast iron skillet with olive oil, ensuring the bottom and sides are coated.
  3. Stretch the pizza dough into the skillet, pressing it slightly up the sides.
  4. Add your sauce, cheese, and toppings as desired.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust edges are golden.
  6. Remove the skillet from the oven and place it directly onto a stovetop burner set to medium-high heat.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes, using a spatula to lift the edge occasionally to check for a deep golden-brown, crispy bottom.
  8. Remove from heat immediately and let rest for 2 minutes before slicing.
