Crispy golden egg roll wrappers filled with warm, spiced apple pie filling and finished with cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup canned apple pie filling
  • 2 tbsp water (for sealing)
  • 4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond orientation.
  2. Brush a small amount of water along all four edges of the wrapper.
  3. Spoon 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling into the center of the wrapper.
  4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the two side corners, and roll tightly toward the top corner to seal.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden brown.
  7. Remove from oil and drain briefly on paper towels.
  8. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar while the rolls are still warm.
