Tangy and vibrant jamun fruit blended into a refreshing, spiced shooter with a zesty finish.

Ingredients

  • 250g (9 oz) jamun (java plum), pitted
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp kala namak (black salt)
  • 1/4 cup water (as needed for blending)

Instructions

  1. Remove the seeds from the jamun fruit and place the flesh into a blender jar until ready to serve.
  2. Add the lemon juice, sugar, and kala namak to the blender until ready to serve.
  3. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until a smooth, thick consistency is achieved, adding water sparingly if needed.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve if a smoother texture is desired, then pour into shot glasses and serve immediately until ready to serve.
