My Ultimate Chicken Gyros by Samsationaleats
Marinated chicken thigh gyros served with warm flatbread, salad, and a creamy yogurt-style sauce.

Ingredients
- 500 g chicken thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 0.5 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
- Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 10-12 minutes, flipping occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Warm the pita breads on the grill or in a dry pan for about 1 minute per side until pliable.
- Cook assemble the gyros: spread tzatziki sauce onto a warm pita, then fill with the grilled chicken, sliced cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion over medium heat.
