Low Carb Dumpling-in-a-Bowl by Saltsensitive

Steamed ground pork and napa cabbage layered in a savory broth for a deconstructed dumpling bowl.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 in ginger, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 stalks green onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 0.5 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp msg
- 0.25 cup chicken broth
- 2 cup napa cabbage, chopped
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, ginger, garlic, half of the green onions, soy sauce, mirin, white pepper, salt, sugar, MSG, and 1/4 cup chicken broth until well incorporated.
- Prepare ramekins by creating a base layer of chopped napa cabbage, followed by a layer of the pork mixture.
- Repeat the layering process until the ramekin is nearly full, ending with a final layer of pork mixture.
- Top the final layer with larger napa cabbage leaves to cover and add an additional tablespoon of chicken broth per ramekin.
- Steam the ramekins for 16-18 minutes until the pork is fully cooked through and opaque.
- Serve hot, garnished with the remaining fresh green onions and a drizzle of chili oil.
