Ingredients

  • 1 freshly baked baguette
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 slices good quality ham
  • 1 tbsp cornichons, sliced

Instructions

  1. Slice the baguette lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  2. Generously spread butter on both cut sides of the baguette.
  3. Layer the slices of ham onto the bottom half of the baguette.
  4. Top the ham with the sliced cornichons.
  5. Close the sandwich with the top half of the baguette.
  6. Serve immediately or pack for a picnic.
