Crispy smashed beef patties in a flour tortilla with melted cheese and classic burger toppings.

Serves: 4Prep: 5 minCook: 5 min

Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 4 cheddar cheese slices
  • 1/2 cup burger sauce (mayo, ketchup, mustard blend)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into loose balls until ready to serve.
  2. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the beef balls, then immediately press down with a heavy spatula or press to create a flat, thin patty.
  3. Season with salt and pepper and sear for 2-3 minutes until a dark crust forms on the bottom.
  4. Flip the patties, top each with a cheese slice, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  5. Lay out the tortillas and spread a generous amount of burger sauce on each until ready to serve.
  6. Place a cooked cheeseburger patty in the center of each tortilla, top with lettuce and pickles, then fold the edges of the tortilla inward to create a wrap over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
  7. Place the wraps seam-side down in the hot skillet for 30 seconds per side to toast and seal the edges until ready to serve.
