Crispy smashed beef patties in a flour tortilla with melted cheese and classic burger toppings.
Serves: 4Prep: 5 minCook: 5 min
Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 4 cheddar cheese slices
- 1/2 cup burger sauce (mayo, ketchup, mustard blend)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into loose balls until ready to serve.
- Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the beef balls, then immediately press down with a heavy spatula or press to create a flat, thin patty.
- Season with salt and pepper and sear for 2-3 minutes until a dark crust forms on the bottom.
- Flip the patties, top each with a cheese slice, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Lay out the tortillas and spread a generous amount of burger sauce on each until ready to serve.
- Place a cooked cheeseburger patty in the center of each tortilla, top with lettuce and pickles, then fold the edges of the tortilla inward to create a wrap over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Place the wraps seam-side down in the hot skillet for 30 seconds per side to toast and seal the edges until ready to serve.
