Traditional Sardinian Pasta Violada by Ricettedicaro

Ingredients
- 500g (4 cup) all-purpose flour
- 100g (1/2 cup) lard, softened
- 200ml (3/4 cup) warm water
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Place the flour in a large mixing bowl and create a well in the center until ready to serve.
- Add the softened lard and salt into the center of the flour.
- Gradually pour in the warm water while mixing by hand until a shaggy dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth, elastic, and non-sticky.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before rolling out.
