Spicy Masala Chicken Doner by Reemaislam

Spiced ground chicken patties seared until golden, tossed in a vibrant masala sauce with crisp vegetables.

Ingredients
- 500g (1.1 lb) chicken mince
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp chipotle powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 large bell pepper, diced
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1 fresh chili, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chicken seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Combine chicken mince, paprika, chipotle, garlic powder, chili powder, parsley, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and oil in a bowl, mixing until well incorporated.
- Roll the chicken mixture out thin on a tray and bake or air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 15-18 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Sauté the diced onion, peppers, tomatoes, and fresh chili in a pan over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until softened and caramelized.
- Stir in the garlic powder, chili powder, turmeric, chicken seasoning, salt, and pepper, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ketchup and hot sauce to the pan, stirring to create a thick masala sauce.
- Break the cooked chicken into pieces, add to the pan with the sauce, and toss for 2-3 minutes to coat thoroughly.
- Serve in warm wraps with salad, garlic mayo, and extra chili sauce.
