Mac and Cheese Lasagna by Reemaislam

Decadent fusion of creamy macaroni and cheese layered between tender lasagna noodles and savory marinara.

Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) lasagna noodles, no-boil
- 450g (1 lb) macaroni pasta
- 4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Boil the macaroni in salted water for 7-8 minutes until al dente, then drain.
- Prepare a cheese sauce by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat, whisking in flour for 1 minute, then gradually adding milk until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir 3 cups of cheddar cheese into the white sauce until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
- Layer lasagna noodles, followed by a portion of the mac and cheese, more marinara, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mozzarella and parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
