Classic Apple Crumble by Reemaislam

Tender spiced apples topped with a buttery, golden-brown oat crumble, served best with warm custard.

Ingredients
- 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Place sliced apples, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tbsp butter into a pan over medium heat.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are slightly softened.
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, white sugar, cold butter, and milk in a bowl; mix with your hands or a fork until a crumbly texture forms.
- Transfer the cooked apples into an oven-safe baking dish.
- Spread the crumble mixture evenly over the top of the apples.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
