Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 8 hard corn taco shells
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for the sauce)
  • 1 tbsp honey (for the sauce)
  • 1 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo, minced (for the sauce)
  • 1 tsp lime juice (for the sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, honey, chipotle peppers, and lime juice in a small bowl until smooth; set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  3. Cook the beef for 6-8 minutes until fully browned, then drain any excess fat.
  4. Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt to the beef, stirring for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Arrange the taco shells on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes until crisp.
  6. Fill each warm taco shell with the seasoned beef, top with lettuce and cheese, and drizzle generously with the honey chipotle sauce
