Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) ground beef
- 8 hard corn taco shells
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for the sauce)
- 1 tbsp honey (for the sauce)
- 1 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo, minced (for the sauce)
- 1 tsp lime juice (for the sauce)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce (for topping)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Combine the mayonnaise, honey, chipotle peppers, and lime juice in a small bowl until smooth; set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
- Cook the beef for 6-8 minutes until fully browned, then drain any excess fat.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt to the beef, stirring for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Arrange the taco shells on a baking sheet and toast in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes until crisp.
- Fill each warm taco shell with the seasoned beef, top with lettuce and cheese, and drizzle generously with the honey chipotle sauce
