Fettuccine Alfredo by Preppykitchen
Classic fettuccine pasta tossed in a rich, creamy sauce of Parmesan, butter, garlic, and heavy cream.

Ingredients
- 450g (1 lb) fettuccine pasta
- 115g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 250ml (1 cup) heavy cream
- 150g (1.5 cup) parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, bring to a gentle bubble, and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing thoroughly to coat, and add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
