Ingredients
- 300g chicken breast, diced
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 200g tomato passata
- 120ml water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 200g plain flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 120ml warm water
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 100g grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, warm water, and yogurt, then knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Add the chicken and curry powder, then cook for 5-6 minutes until lightly browned on the outside.
- Stir in the tomato passata, water, salt, and pepper, then simmer for 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through.
- Divide the dough into 4 pieces, roll each into a naan shape, and sprinkle cheddar over the top.
- Cook the naans in a hot dry skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until puffed and spotted with golden brown.
- Brush the cooked naans with melted butter, then top with the chicken curry and serve warm.
