Crispy Homemade Pizza Fries by Peacelovedough

Thin, crispy dough strips infused with pepperoni and parmesan, baked until crunchy and served with marinara.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup warm water (105-110°f)
- 1 3/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp pepperoni, finely grated
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl; let sit until frothy, about 5-10 minutes.
- Whisk in 2 tsp olive oil, salt, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and grated pepperoni
- Gradually mix in cornstarch and flour until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll dough out thinly (about 1/8 inch thick) and cut into fry-sized strips
- Arrange strips on the baking sheet, brush tops with olive oil, and bake for 8-12 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Garnish with extra grated Parmesan and fresh parsley; serve warm with marinara sauce.
