Potato and Ground Beef Pancakes by Ormandi

Crispy shredded potato pancakes filled with seasoned ground beef, served golden brown and tender.

Ingredients
- 260g potatoes, finely grated
- 110g ground beef
- 30g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 egg, beaten
- 1/2 small onion, finely grated or minced
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Grate the potatoes and the onion using a fine grater, then squeeze out excess liquid using a cheesecloth or your hands until ready to serve.
- Combine the grated potato, onion, ground beef, flour, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl, mixing until well incorporated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot pan and flatten slightly to form pancakes until ready to serve.
- Fry for 5-6 minutes per side over medium heat until the beef is cooked through and the edges are crispy and golden brown.
