Butter Burgers by Omaha Steaks
By Omaha Steaks
Made with Frozen butter, grated or cubed, Ground beef, and American cheese, sliced.
Ingredients
- 1 whole stick Frozen butter, grated or cubed
- Ground beef
- American cheese, sliced
- Onions, sliced
- Burger buns
- Garlic aioli
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 cup caramelized onions
Instructions
- Grate the whole stick of frozen butter using a box grater, or cube it if a grater is unavailable.
- Gently mix the grated butter into the ground beef. Form the mixture into patties of your desired size and thickness.
- Season both sides of the prepared beef patties generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned patties in the hot pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing a crust to form on the bottom.
- Flip the burgers and continue cooking, letting them simmer in their own rendered fat and the melted butter. Cook until desired doneness is reached.
- Remove the cooked patties from the pan and immediately place a slice of American cheese on top of each. Tent the burgers loosely with aluminum foil and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Add the sliced onions directly into the pan with the melted butter and rendered beef fat. Sauté the onions, stirring frequently, until they are soft and caramelized.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a cheesy patty on a bun, topping it with the caramelized onions, and a dollop of garlic aioli.
