Beef and Snow Pea Stir Fry by Omaha Steaks

Tender seared skirt steak and crisp snow peas tossed with shirataki noodles in savory stir-fry sauce.

Ingredients

  • 400g (14 oz) skirt steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 200g (7 oz) shirataki noodles, cooked per package directions
  • 1 cup fresh snow peas
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp neutral oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup stir fry sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned, about 3-4 minutes; remove from pan and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil to the same pan, then add garlic, ginger, onion, and carrots.
  4. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until the onions are translucent and carrots have softened.
  5. Add the snow peas and cook for 2-4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  6. Return the cooked steak to the pan, add the shirataki noodles and stir fry sauce, and toss for 2 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving immediately.
