Caramel Cinnamon Donuts by Nourishwithtan
Baked protein donuts infused with caramel notes and finished with a classic cinnamon sugar coating.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup caramel donut protein powder
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for coating)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a donut pan lightly with cooking spray.
- Whisk together the flour, protein powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Add the milk, egg, and 2 tablespoons of melted butter, stirring until just combined into a smooth batter.
- Pipe or spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full until ready to serve.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Dip each warm donut into the remaining melted butter, then roll immediately in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly until ready to serve.
