Spiced Salmon with Mango Salsa by Nourishbydanelle
Pan-seared salmon fillets with a smoky-sweet spice rub, topped with a vibrant, zesty mango salsa.

Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Combine brown sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl to create the spice rub until ready to serve.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and coat evenly with the spice rub on all sides until ready to serve.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes until shimmering.
- Place salmon in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until the edges are crispy and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Prepare the salsa while the salmon cooks by tossing together the diced mango, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice in a medium bowl until ready to serve.
- Serve the warm salmon immediately topped with a generous spoonful of the fresh mango salsa until ready to serve.
