Stale or frozen bread transformed into a warm, crusty loaf with a soft, airy interior.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf stale or frozen crusty bread
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Run the loaf of bread quickly under a cold water tap or splash it with water to dampen the crust until ready to serve.
  3. Place the dampened bread directly onto the oven rack at 375°F until golden and cooked through, about 25 min.
  4. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until the crust is crisp and the center is warmed through.
  5. Remove from the oven and serve immediately while warm at 375°F until golden and cooked through, about 25 min.
