Ingredients
- 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas, coarsely mashed
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp cornstarch or rice flour
- 2 tbsp oil for shallow frying
- 1/2 cup whisked yogurt
- 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
- 1 tbsp green mint chutney
Instructions
- Combine mashed potatoes, chickpeas, onions, coriander, ginger-garlic paste, spices, and cornstarch in a bowl and mix until a dough forms.
- Shape the mixture into 4-6 round, flat patties.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat and shallow fry the patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Arrange the hot tikkis on a plate and drizzle with whisked yogurt, tamarind chutney, and green chutney.
- Garnish with extra coriander or sev if desired and serve immediately.
