Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mozzarella and cheddar cheese mix
- 1/2 cup shredded cottage cheese
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1.5 tbsp pizza sauce
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1 tbsp milk or beaten egg (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the mozzarella and cheddar mix, shredded cottage cheese, oregano, garlic powder, black pepper powder, pizza sauce, and melted butter. Mix well until the filling is evenly combined.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface or its own parchment paper. Spread the cheese and pizza sauce mixture evenly over the entire surface, leaving a small border on one long edge.
- Starting from the opposite long edge, carefully roll the pastry sheet tightly into a log.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
- Brush the tops of the pinwheels with milk or beaten egg for a golden glaze.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before serving warm.
