Perfect Homemade Cinnamon Rolls by Mxriyum

Soft, pillowy yeast-leavened rolls swirled with aromatic cinnamon sugar and finished with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients
- 4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed to 110°f
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for filling)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed (for filling)
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 3 tbsp heavy cream (for glaze)
Instructions
- Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl
- Add butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the flour; knead for 8-10 minutes until a smooth, elastic dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm spot for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a 12x18 inch rectangle
- Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 even rolls
- Place rolls in a greased 9x13 inch pan, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk powdered sugar and cream until smooth, then drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
