Charred Pineapple and Chile Piquin Salsa by Munchieslabs

Smoky charred pineapple and creamy avocado balanced with spicy chile piquin and bright citrus notes.

Ingredients
- 2 cup fresh pineapple, sliced into rings
- 1 lime, halved
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1 tbsp chili piquin, crushed
- 1 ripe avocado, diced
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Place pineapple rings and lime halves cut-side down on a hot grill over medium-high heat.
- Grill for 3-4 minutes per side until the pineapple is charred and caramelized and the lime is browned.
- Remove from heat and allow the pineapple to cool slightly for 5 minutes before dicing into small cubes.
- Squeeze the juice from the charred lime into a medium mixing bowl.
- Add the diced pineapple, red onion, crushed chile piquin, and salt to the bowl, tossing gently to combine.
- Fold in the diced avocado just before serving to maintain its texture.
