Ingredients
- 2 red apples
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp apricot jam, warmed (optional for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Core the apples, slice them into very thin half-moons, and toss with lemon juice in a microwave-safe bowl over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Microwave apple slices for 2-3 minutes until soft and pliable enough to roll without breaking.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet slightly and cut into 6 long strips until ready to serve.
- Sprinkle each strip with sugar and cinnamon, then arrange apple slices along the top edge of the pastry so they overlap slightly until ready to serve.
- Fold the bottom half of the pastry over the apple slices, then carefully roll into a rose shape over medium heat until heated through, about 5 min.
- Place each rose into the prepared muffin tin and bake for 25-30 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
