Sticky Bourbon Ribs Worth the Napkins by Maxy69838

Slow-cooked pork ribs in a sticky bourbon barbecue glaze, charred on the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 rack pork ribs (about 1kg)
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 100ml bourbon
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar (for the glaze)
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Rub the ribs all over with the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Cook low over indirect heat (or wrapped in foil) for about an hour until the meat is tender and pulling from the bone.
  3. Simmer the bourbon, ketchup, brown sugar, cider vinegar, Worcestershire and paprika in a small pan until sticky and glossy.
  4. Brush the ribs all over with the glaze and grill over direct heat for a few minutes a side until lacquered and charred.
  5. Rest for 5 min, slice between the bones and serve with the extra glaze.
